BookR Insurance Disclosure

1. PURPOSE

This Insurance Disclosure explains, in plain terms, what BookR does and does not provide with respect to insurance, and directs Users to the only people who can tell them what their own coverage actually is: their own insurer or insurance professional.

This Disclosure is informational. It does not create coverage, and it does not modify the allocation of risk set out in the Terms of Service or the Rental Agreement.

2. BOOKR DOES NOT PROVIDE INSURANCE

BookR is not an insurer, is not an insurance producer, agent, or broker, and does not sell, solicit, negotiate, or arrange insurance of any kind.

BookR does not insure:

(a) any Item listed through the Platform; (b) any Owner or Renter; (c) any Booking or Transaction; or (d) any loss, damage, theft, or injury arising from a Transaction.

Nothing about creating an Account, publishing a Listing, or completing a Booking causes any insurance policy to be issued to any User.

3. THE PROTECTION PROGRAM IS NOT INSURANCE

Platform damage protection is not currently offered. BookR does not operate an Owner Protection Program today, and no reimbursement program is available on the Platform. If BookR introduces one, its terms — including eligibility requirements, exclusions, documentation requirements, claim deadlines, and any maximum reimbursement limit — will be published before the program takes effect.

Where BookR makes such a program available, it is a limited, discretionary reimbursement program described in Terms of Service Articles II and VII.

The Protection Program is not insurance, is not a warranty, and does not create a guarantee of reimbursement. Users should not assume that any such program functions like an insurance policy.

4. INFORMATION FOR OWNERS

Renting an Item to another person through the Platform is a commercial or business use of that Item.

Many personal insurance policies — including homeowner's, renter's, condominium, and personal auto policies — contain provisions addressing business, commercial, or income-producing use of covered property. Depending on the policy, such provisions may limit, exclude, or otherwise affect coverage that would apply if the same Item were used only personally.

BookR cannot tell any Owner what that Owner's policy says. Whether a specific policy covers, limits, or excludes rental activity depends on the carrier, the policy form, the endorsements purchased, the Item, and Applicable Law.

Before listing an Item, Owners are strongly encouraged to contact their own insurance carrier or a licensed insurance professional and ask directly whether renting the Item to others for a fee is covered, excluded, or requires a separate policy or endorsement.

Owners should also review Terms of Service §5.2(c), which requires an Owner to represent that offering an Item for rental will not violate any insurance policy.

5. INFORMATION FOR RENTERS

A Renter who takes possession of an Item assumes responsibility for that Item for the duration of the Rental Period. See Terms of Service §6.7 and Rental Agreement §5.

Some personal insurance policies contain provisions addressing personal property that is borrowed, rented, or in the insured's care, custody, or control, and some contain provisions addressing personal property away from the insured's residence. Whether any such provision applies to a specific Item rented through the Platform, and on what terms, varies by carrier and policy and may be affected by the commercial nature of the rental.

BookR cannot tell any Renter what that Renter's policy says.

Before relying on personal insurance to cover an Item rented through the Platform, Renters are strongly encouraged to contact their own insurance carrier or a licensed insurance professional and confirm what, if anything, applies.

Renters should not assume that the Protection Program, a credit card benefit, or any BookR policy will pay for damage to, or loss of, a rented Item.

6. NO COVERAGE DETERMINATIONS BY BOOKR

BookR does not interpret insurance policies, does not determine whether coverage exists, and does not advise Users regarding the adequacy of any coverage.

Statements made by BookR personnel, in Platform copy, in support communications, or in this Disclosure shall not be relied upon as a representation that any particular policy does or does not cover any particular loss.

7. NO VERIFICATION OF INSURANCE

BookR does not verify whether any User maintains insurance, does not require proof of insurance as a condition of listing or booking, and does not confirm that any policy identified by a User is in force or applicable.

Users remain solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining any insurance coverage they deem appropriate, as stated in Terms of Service §7.13(d).

8. SECONDARY NATURE OF THE PROTECTION PROGRAM

Where an Owner maintains insurance coverage applicable to a claimed loss, BookR may require the Owner to pursue recovery through that coverage before seeking reimbursement under the Protection Program, and may reduce or deny reimbursement to the extent a loss is recoverable from another source. See Terms of Service §2.15.

Owners should understand that submitting a claim to their own insurer may have consequences under that policy. BookR is not able to advise on those consequences.

9. CHANGES TO THIS DISCLOSURE

BookR reserves the right to modify, amend, supplement, or replace this Disclosure at any time.

Material changes may be communicated through the Platform, email, or other reasonable means where required by Applicable Law.

10. RELATIONSHIP TO OTHER POLICIES

This Disclosure should be read together with:

(a) BookR Terms of Service, in particular Articles II, VI, and VII; (b) BookR Rental Agreement; and (c) any other policies published by BookR and incorporated into the Platform.

In the event of a conflict between this Disclosure and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service shall govern.
